A divine blessing! Staying at Il Salviatino was like staying with lovely friends: carefully blended intimate, warm hospitality combined with personal space for stillness and tranquility. We will never forget enjoying breakfasts, drinks and dinner on the Il Salviatino terrace, with its breathtaking views of Florence. Florence is amazingly beautiful, with masterpieces in galleries and museums, jaw-dropping architecture and heavenly gardens. Sitting on the Il Salviatino terrace, it’s very easy to see all that glory captured in one scene. To add to this magic, there were extensive gardens and the other-worldly spa to transport us to an even higher place. A divine blessing. Thank you so very much.

this is my favourite place on earth. when I become old and frail I wish to continue here until my death, a bit like Coco Chanel and the Riz, but Italian and ridiculous. it’s been 3 long years since I last visited thanks to covid, and things have changed only for the better. be patient with the place if you visit-they’ve been closed for a while and have a lot of new staff. the essence of Il Salviatino remains though, and there’s nothing like that feeling when you drive up the meandering road to the entrance, open the door and smell the sweet perfume of the honeysuckle, take in the breathtaking view, and remember what heaven looks like.

My husband and I ran into some trouble (theft in town centre) but the staff here offered every bit of help possible to alleviate the inconveniences and made our stay in Florence so much better than it would’ve been. Dinner was lovely and the ambience was great with a beautiful view over Florence. The hotel was beautiful and stylish with class, and absolutely lives up to its 5 stars! The spa is also a hidden gem that’s beautifully maintained. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Florence.
